Have you met the 10-win/10-lose molecule governing future wealth?

In service economies (let alone global*local networking economies) every coordinate of a productive & demanding system is interconnected through trust-flow. Sustainability of all aspects of wealth and health that we humanly value depends on harmoniously purposeful tensions between all coordinates - 10-win compounds an upward valuation exponential into the future. In contrast, unresolved conflicts between any coordinatescycle through the realtionship system over time to erode service purpose causing valuation exponential to turn downward, destroying sustainability and in the absence of intervention all that has been invested.

This molecule applies at any level we choose to anlayse such as an industry sector worldwide in terms of its local impacts on all societies. Or any organisational system that is a component of that sector. Or value exchanging molecules within an organisation or across networks of organisations. Networks are systems*systems so that 10*10 evolves into 100-win or 100-lose patterns. Do you remember how dotcoms bubbled up and down on such exponentials?

Let's consider a future example that we might all want to develop worldwide maps for. Across dozens of Club of City, we have been surveying sectors that most of the world's people feel are in downward future spins. Can we find ways of intervening in time? To do so, we'll need a transparency up and down and around sectors' productivities and demands as well as an ability to map with the value exchnaging molecule of service economics

Sustainability Valuation - A Very Public Crisis
Typical sectors whose exponentials seem to be downcurving in the views of members from most Club of Cities
  • Healthcare – ever increasing costs
  • Children – increased family strain, lost safety of community
  • Professionals- loss of Hippocratic oath, ever more bureaucratic
  • Water – Clean water is getting scarcer
  • Transport – getting slower
  • National Government – Increasingly powering over instead of facilitating what people need next Mass media – dumbing down, loss of social space and transparent debates
  • Food chain – cost of good for you food going up
  • Nations Cultures- love of each other’s diversity going down
  • Pensions (investment in sustainable growth) – going down
  • Adult confidence in making a difference with lifelong learning potentials – seems to be going down
  • Insurance – cost going up, learnings across biggest tragedies seem increasingly blocked
  • Underclass – compounding underclass- their loss of hope in life and mutual risks to all of us in a hi-connected world
  • NGOs/Charity – Global*Local infrastructure further removed from depth of grassroots needs in crisis or sustainability turnround challenges
